Today I will be talking about cold market recruiting. Your cold market are basically strangers. People you do not know but want to bring them into your business.
One challenge people face in our business is they are afraid of talking to people. Network Marketing is a people business. You need to be able to get out of your fear, and simply reach out to people. Someone is waiting for your opportunity, and to deny them of that is selfishness. So, I am going to share a few tips on how to meet people.
1) Maintain a higher level of awareness. Chances are that you meet people everyday, but you take them for granted, or you do not pay them any attention. Make use of every opportunity to meet people. Collect their business cards. Take peoples numbers, etc.
2) Go to events, or networking meetings. This gives you a chance to get out there, and meet people.
3) Join a club, an organization like toastmasters international, learn a new sport, volunteer at church, etc.
When you meet people you could say something like “I am not promising anything, but my company is looking for very smart, sharp people…..let me take your details, and we can talk more”. Of course this is after introducing yourself, building rapport with them, and getting to know them a little bit.
Do not forget to add your new contacts to your contact list so that you can call them, and invite them to come to your presentation.
These are a few simple ways to meet people who might be interested in your business.
If there’s anything to take away from this….its to maintain a higher level of awareness, and be sensitive to the people you meet everyday.
Remember: Face your fears. Someone somewhere is waiting for you to introduce your business to them, and to save them and make a difference in their lives.
